European Center for Peace and Development (ECPD)

University for Peace established by the United Nations

ECPD is an international educational, training and

research organization, established in 1985 under the

international Agreement concluded between the United

Nations University for Peace and the Government of the

then SFR Yugoslavia. Its headquarters is in Belgrade and

is primarily serving Europe.

Its mission is: Promotion of peace, reconciliation,

socioeconomic development and international

cooperation through capacity building that is achieved

by organizing and offering postgraduate studies,

applied research, consulting and dissemination of

knowledge.

ECPD has many cooperation agreements with renown regional and international

universities and academic institutions in Europe, North America and Japan.

Distinguished international faculty from these institutions around the world serve as

visiting or part-time faculty in ECPD, offering courses and participating in its

conferences, certificate programs and research projects.

ECPD major academic activities are organized under three post graduate schools:

• School of Global Health Development.

• International School of Business.

• International School of Law and Diplomacy
